Beverly
Beverly
Nestled beneath a canopy of century-old oaks in the heart of Highland Park, our Beverly project is a thoughtfully curated renovation and addition that honors the enduring charm of its original 1950s architecture while introducing modern elements for contemporary living.
Preserving the legacy of this storied neighborhood was at the forefront of our design approach. The original brick façade was refreshed in a timeless shade of white, accented with subtly beige shutters and a period-appropriate update to the entry columns—quietly elevating the home’s classic Colonial Revival character. The addition blends seamlessly into the existing structure, expanding the footprint by nearly 2,500 square feet and enhancing functionality without compromising architectural integrity.
Inside, with only three of the original walls and roof trusses remaining, a reimagined layout breathes new life into every space. The kitchen and gathering areas were especially transformed to create a more open and welcoming flow, while preserving a sense of refined formality. Light pours through copious windows, illuminating the modern interiors—where curated selections and meticulously crafted millwork take center stage. Custom cabinetry, designer lighting, and hand-selected stone surfaces and wallcoverings reflect today’s design sensibilities while paying homage to the home’s history.
A newly constructed upper wing introduces expanded bedrooms and a generous game area. Every decision—from layout to materiality—was made with the intent to preserve the past while paving the way for the future.
This home is a tribute to craftsmanship, continuity, and the quiet luxury of timeless design.
